Product Description
The TYPI series PI heating film (polyimide heating film) is an ultra-thin, flexible, planar electric heating element widely used in precision thermal management applications. It typically features a three-layer “sandwich” structure: the upper and lower layers are polyimide (PI) films serving as insulating protective layers, while the middle layer consists of a metal alloy foil—commonly nickel-chromium or stainless steel foil—carefully etched into a serpentine circuit pattern to act as the heating core. Electrical terminals are led out from both ends for easy connection to a power source. The overall thickness usually ranges from only 0.15 to 0.35 mm.
Key Features and Advantages
• Ultra-thin and flexible: Bendable and conformable to curved surfaces, with a minimum bending radius often less than 1 mm. Extremely lightweight and takes up no extra space.
• Temperature Resistance and Insulation: It can withstand long-term operating temperatures up to 150–200℃ and short-term exposure to temperatures exceeding 300℃. PI film boasts high dielectric strength, excellent chemical resistance, and radiation resistance.
• High-efficiency temperature control: low thermal inertia, rapid heating rate (from a few seconds to just over ten seconds), excellent temperature uniformity, and temperature control accuracy up to ±2%.
• High power density: The surface power density can reach a relatively high level, making it ideal for applications requiring small size and high-density heating.
• Long service life: Sealed using a vacuum hot-pressing process, eliminating the risk of oxidation and wire breakage; under normal operating conditions, the service life can reach tens of thousands of hours.
